S

weater weather is upon us, and Jewish Senior Life’s
trendy retail boutiques at Meer Apartments and
Fleischman Residence on its West Bloomfield cam-
pus showcased the hottest styles of the season as resident
models strutted their stuff in front of adoring audiences at
annual fashion shows in both buildings.
On Sept. 24, the Meer dining room was fashion central as
15 male and female residents had fun parading up and down
a catwalk, delighting family members, friends and fellow
neighbors wearing comfy fall clothes and accessories from
the Meer Boutique.
On Sept. 27, nine residents of both Hechtman Apartments
and Fleischman Residence took part in a festive fashion
show in the Fleischman lobby modeling beautiful shirts,
vests, jackets and sweaters from Sharon’s Boutique.
The events were emceed by Beth Robinson, director of
FRIENDS of Jewish Senior Life, the organization’s volunteer
arm. After the fashion shows, residents shopped until they
dropped in the boutiques, where net proceeds from all sales
go toward JSL programming and events.
