‘MOON MAN WALK’
NOV. 15-DEC. 1
The Inspired Acting Company
will stage Moon Man Walk, a
magical story about love, family
and the secrets we keep; it
is by Pulitzer Prize-winning
playwright James Ijames. The
play tells the story of a young
man who is navigating life after
the sudden death of his mother.
The Inspired Acting Company
is at 1124 E. West Maple Road,
Walled Lake. Performances are
Friday and Saturday nights at 8
pm, Sundays at 2 pm. General
admission tickets are $35 and
$30 (under 30/over 65). Tickets

GRATITUDE GALA

Yoga Moves MS will mark its
20th year with a fundraiser at
The MINT, 27000 Evergreen
Road in Lathrup Village.
Providing free adaptive yoga to
those in need through in-person,
virtual and online programming
has enabled Yoga Moves MS
to touch the lives of thousands
in Southeast Michigan and

DOCUMENTARY SHOWN

The World According to Allee
Willis. At the Detroit Film Theatre,
5200 Woodward, Detroit. (Inside
the DIA). The late songwriter and
artist Willis began filming her life
as a child in 1950s Detroit and
never stopped. Her recordings
of herself, her family and her
career form the backbone
of this vibrant, entertaining
documentary portrait. She fed

her curiosity about music by
sitting outside Motown Studios
on Grand Boulevard and listening
to recording sessions through
the walls. The film features
friends celebrating their love
for Allee, including Lily Tomlin,
Paul Reubens, Mark Cuban,
Cyndi Lauper and many more. A
joy from beginning to end. (97
minutes). Adult tickets: $10.50;
senior $8.50; students $8.50.

Michigan Ave., collects used
bicycles and repurposes them
for needy children around Metro
Detroit. Volunteers are needed —
ages 12 and up. No experience
required. But if you have bike
repair know-how, we’ll use it.
