Bernstein initially assembled an
impressive 40 hours of footage,
which has now been edited down
into a one-hour, 47-minute film
that captures the ultimate madness
of MAD magazine.
MAD enthusiasts and newcomers
alike can enjoy the trademark MAD
sense of humor, the nutty geniuses
behind it and the undeniable
impression it left on American pop
culture.
America’s oldest and most
influential humor magazine may be
returning for a one-night stand, but
Bernstein hopes When We Went
MAD! will eventually get picked
up by a distributor or make its way
onto streaming services.
“There’s no way I can stop now,”
he says.
