She is survived by

Robert and Lorin Hocker, and
David and Ann Marie Hocher;

Jacob Gottlieb, Joshua and

Mrs. Hocher was the beloved
wife of the late Robert Hocher;
the devoted daughter of the late
Priscilla Dickman and the late
Nathan Cooper.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions

DOUG H. JONAS, 53,
of Farmington Hills,
died Sept. 30, 2024.
He is survived by
his brother and part-
ner, Larry Jonas and
Anthony Boney; sister and broth-
er-in-law, Michele and Michael
Rosen; nieces and nephews, Marcia
and Caleb Newman, Melanie and
Daniel Levine, Mark Rosen and
Haley Gallero; great-nieces, Emma
Newman, Maya Newman, Isabel
Rosen, Cecelia Rosen; many aunts,
uncles and cousins.
Doug was the loving son of the
late J. Walter and the late Carole
Lynn Jonas; dear brother of the late
Scott R. Jonas.
Contributions may be made
to American Heart Association,
7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas,

one’s choice. A graveside service
was held at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Arrangements by Hebrew

PAULINE FREED
SNYDER
KABCENELL, 104,
passed peacefully away
at home in Sarasota,
Fla., on Oct. 14, 2024,
after years of a vibrant, healthy and
fulfilling life.
Pauline graduated from Chicago’s
Teacher’s College and earned a mas-
ter of linguistics degree in her mid-
40s from Wayne State University,
Detroit. She taught physical edu-
cation since, standing in for men
fighting WWII and throughout her
career.
In Detroit, she served as presi-
dent of the Women’s Division of the
American Jewish Congress from
1960-1962, on numerous boards
for Jewish and educational organi-
zations and was president of The
Meadow’s Homeowners Association
in Sarasota from 1996-1997.
