FORMER SYNAGOGUES
BUS TOUR

Hosted by Jewish Historical
Society of Michigan. Learn
the history of these buildings
and the original and current

congregations in them. Cost:
$72. Proceeds include donations
toward the historic buildings’
maintenance. This tour begins
and ends from the parking lot
of the current Adat Shalom
building, 29901 Middlebelt
Road, Farmington Hills; bus will
leave promptly at 1 pm; return
to Adat Shalom by 4:30 pm.
Stairs are needed to enter these
buildings; they are not wheelchair
accessible. No refunds unless the

HUNGER MUSEUM

The community is invited to join
Rabbi Joshua Bennett & MAZON:
A Jewish Response to Hunger in
a virtual exploring of the Hunger
Museum. The tour will give the
main narrative of the museum
over the course of an hour, with
time for questions and discussion.
This tour is free and open to
all, though geared for an adult
audience. Because it’s completely
virtual, you can engage with
immersive and interactive exhibits
anytime, from anywhere, to learn
about the political, economic and
cultural story of the expansion and
dismantling of the American social

JEWS IN THEATER

A class on Zoom. Jewish people
have been involved in Broadway
productions from its inception.
But did you know that Jews have
been involved in the theater,
either as creators or characters,
since the 3rd century B.C.E.?
Rabbi Aaron Bergman will look
at Jewish actors, playwrights and
acting coaches as well as analyze
how Jews have been portrayed
in the theater by non-Jewish
and Jewish writers and actors.
