strengthened the Jewish future
for us all,” said Steven Ingber, the
Jewish Federation’s chief
executive officer. “On a
personal note, Beverly
has played an important
role in my own journey
as a Jewish professional,
and I am deeply grateful
for her friendship
and unwavering trust. She truly
deserves to be counted among our
community’s great leaders.”
Larry Wolfe, a longtime friend
and fellow Butzel Award recipient,
described Liss as
“the epitome of a
communal leader” who
has always exhibited
caring, compassion and
dedication to the Jewish
people.
He said she never
seeks recognition for her activities.
“Her DNA is such that her desire is
solely to improve the quality of life
for individuals and families facing
challenges.”
