BAGELS & BABIES

Grab a bagel and some coffee
and meet new friends, hosted by
JFamily Detroit at The J, 6600
W. Maple, West Bloomfield.
This event is geared toward
families with babies ages 0-12
months. All JFamily programs
welcome the diversity in our
community, including multifaith
families, Jews of Color, single-
parent families, members of the
LGBTQ+ community, people
with disabilities and people from
various economic backgrounds. If
you or any family member needs
accommodations to successfully
participate in the program, reach

CELTIC MUSIC
7:30 PM, SEPT. 15 (SUN.)
The Tannahill Weavers will
perform at The Ark, 316 S. Main,
Ann Arbor. The group plays a
special brand of Celtic music,
blending the beauty of traditional
melodies with the power of
modern rhythms. They present
topical songs, original ballads and
lullabies and humorous tales of
life in Scotland. $25.

DSO PERFORMS

At The Hawk, Farmington Hills
Community Center, 29995 W.

12 Mile Road. Family-friendly
pre-concert activities include
instrument try-outs, crafts, and
dance and movement workshops.
All DTE Foundation Community
Concerts are free and open to
the public, yet reservations are
required for entry. Tickets can be
reserved at dso.org. All concerts
are general admission (no seats
will be assigned), and all seating is
first-come, first-served. All concert
venues are handicap accessible.

Become a safeTALK-trained
helper and reduce the number
of suicides in our community. At

own art with no previous art ability

Hosted by JFamily Detroit at
Aldana Mexican Bar and Grill,

schmooze, network and enjoy
good food. See some old friends
and make some new ones. Self-
pay required for dinner and drinks.

Expo designed to support
and empower caregivers.
Expert speakers; 15-minute
consultations with a JFS
therapist; holistic health

SPANISH DINNER
6:15 PM, SEPT. 20 (FRI.)
Shir Tikvah in Troy will
host a “Shabbat Around the
World” series, starting with
Spanish cuisine by chef and
owner of Elwin & Co. in Berkley,

Elwin Greenwald, who will be
creating special menus and food
for each dinner. Services at 6:15
pm and dinner after services.
Cost is $15 per adult and $5 per
child 12 and under. RSVP on the

NEW PLAY
SEPT. 20-OCT. 6
The Inspired Acting Company,
1124 E. West Maple Road, Walled
Lake, 248-863-9953, announces
its first production of the second
season: The Book Club Play by
Karen Zacarías, a hilarious roller-
coaster ride through the wild
world of book clubs. Personal
dramas collide with literary
debates when the book club
allows a documentary crew to film
their intellectual banter. Secrets
spill, tensions flare and reality
gets a bit tangled with fiction.
Performances are Friday and
Saturday nights at 8 pm, Sundays
at 2 pm. General admission: $35
and $30 (under 30/over 65);
