(NCJW|MI) and is known for
carrying high-end clothing,
including designer wear, jewelry,
shoes and household items, all
donated by the community.
In the lead up to Fall Showcase,
which has frequently seen lines of
shoppers around the building, there
will be several door-busting events
for previous season merchandise:
• Monday, Sept. 9, and Tuesday,
Sept. 10: Shoppers will be able to
purchase all items, including home
décor and jewelry, at 90% off in
celebration of the 90th anniversary
of the store
• Wednesday. Sept. 11: There will
be a $25 fill-a-bag sale (excluding
home décor and jewelry)
• Thursday, Sept. 12, to
Saturday, Sept. 14, the store will
be closed in preparation for Fall
Showcase
“With the expansion of Council
Re|Sale, we will be able to offer our
loyal shoppers even more treasures
with larger women’s, men’s and
home décor areas,” explained
NCJW|MI President Amy Zeskind.
“Having a full basement for storage
will improve our ability to bring
donations to the sales floor much
quicker as we have always been
short of floor space due to the
generosity of our many donors.”
Zeskind said that the most
important part of the expansion
was that income from the store
would increase, allowing her
organization’s many community
impact projects to flourish.
It is expected that Time Travelers
will move to a space across the
street and that Council Resale will
need to close for a few days in the
fall to allow for construction.
Proceeds raised at Council
Re|Sale go toward the many
community impact projects and
social advocacy work which
NCJW|MI run to benefit local
families.

Council Re|Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday through Saturday; donations of cloth-

ing (not books or children’s clothing currently)

are accepted Monday through Saturday,

excluding Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For
