Find The
Differences

Can you find five differences in this photo of

volunteers at JARC’s Flower-a Thon?

H

ave you ever had to learn something and, after
studying, you could recite it backward and for-
ward? How about you lovers of words that have
discovered palindromes (those words that are the same
backward and forward like radar, madam?)
Well, here is a new approach for you: Consider some
words that when spelled backward give
you a different word altogether? Let’s
explore some of those.
Not to brag about a new outfit, but that
garb suits you. (Pun was unintentional, sort
of). It may no longer fit, however, if you
have too many desserts and get stressed.
Then you will have a tailor get some pins
and snip to get a better fit.
Plan to clean house? Be sure to examine every draw-
er; you may find a reward. Bag it up but do not gab
about it or it may be taken from you. Keep it in a safe
place and peek at it now and then.
Do you have a lap dog? He’s a real pal, no? If your
mood is one of doom, he may lift it for you. Pets are
nice but they make you aware of where you step.
For a football game, you may wish to join with some
pals, who will slap you on the back and make you feel
regal by buying you a lager.
Something I find annoying? Someone who stuffs gum
into their mug and makes like a cow chewing cud. I
have had pupils who would slipup and do this in class.
TV shows are often done before a live audience;
consider that live backwards is evil! Hmmm.
If you have lived through hard times, you may have
had a devil of a time making do.; trying to emit good
vibes was hard, no?
I would rail against a liar and suggest that he change
his spots and stops being untrustworthy.
I used to worry that maps on my GPS would contain
spam, but I have since reconciled to their accuracy.
Well, before my alarm peels sleep from my eyes,
I will bid you doog eyb. Oh, that one does not work
for goodbye, does it? Oh, well … back to the drawing
board.
