DONALD C.
ALEXANDER, 88, of
Chicago, Ill., passed
away peacefully on July
16, 2024.
Born in Detroit on
July 11, 1936, Don graduated from
Mumford High School in 1954 and
from Wayne State University with
a B.A. in history. He also resided in
Deerfield, Ill., and Parkland, Fla.
He is survived by his children,
David Alexander, Deborah (Dr.
Robert) Ernst, Alaine Alexander,
Gail (Dr. Jason) Weiss; grandchil-
dren, Alexis (Matthew Roberts),
Matthew and Jason Ernst, Jordan
and Andrew (Julianna) Kluge,
Eleanor, Daniella, Jonah and Seth
Weiss; loving sister, Anita Kay;
many cousins, lifelong friends and
neighbors.
Don was the beloved husband
of the late Marian Alexander
nee Levine; dear son of the late
Dolores nee Goodman and Harvey
Alexander; dear son-in-law of the
late Gertrude nee Williams and
Jacob Levine.
Memorial contributions may
