Silberstein-Freedman S heryl and Mathew Michaels, and Ronald and Stephanie Silberstein are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter Amy Rebecca to Scott Michael, son of Nancy and Wayne Freedman of Marietta, Ga. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from DePaul University-College of Law. She is a partner at the law firm of Stern Perkoski Mendez LLC in Evanston, Ill. Scott earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. He is a TV news producer at NewsNation in Chicago, Ill. The couple resides in Chicago and will be getting married in Michigan later this summer. Rabbi Joshua Bennett will officiate. Baubie-Gealer R achel Gealer, daughter of David and Delia Gealer of Harrison Township, is engaged to Chris Baubie, son of Jim Baubie and stepmother Christa Baubie of Grosse Pointe, and Deanna Baubie of Shelby Township. Rachel is a graduate of Wayne State University, where she earned her master’s degree in educational leadership. She works as a teacher in the Grosse Pointe Public School System. Chris is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he earned his master’s degree in sports management. He is employed as a project manager at Goat Yard Marine. They are planning a fall 2025 wedding in Clare, Mich. Rachel and Chris reside in Grosse Pointe and are excited to begin their lives together as husband and wife, surrounded by the love and blessings of their families and friends.
