Mazel Tov! announcements are welcomed for members of the 
Jewish community. Anniversaries, engagements and weddings 
with a photo (preferably color) can appear at a cost of $18 
each. Births are $10. There is no charge for bar/bat mitzvahs 
or for special birthdays starting at the 90th.

Natalie Jean Bolak, daughter of Shannon 
and Teddy Bolak, will be called to the Torah 
as a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West 
Bloomfield on Friday, June 28, 2024. Natalie 
is the loving grandchild of Toni and Gary 
Nummer, and Karen and the late Greg Bolak. 
She is a student at L’Anse Creuse Middle School-
North in Macomb Township. Natalie’s most meaningful 
mitzvah project was making and selling holiday cards as 
a fundraiser for her school’s art department.

26, 2024, at Temple Israel in 
West Bloomfield. Rabbi Jennifer 
Lader of Temple Israel and 
Hazzan Daniel Gross of Adat 
Shalom co-officiated. 
The bride is the daughter 
of Mrs. Sara and Dr. Daniel 
Schnaar of Bloomfield 
Township. The groom is the 
son of Mrs. Sherri and Mr. Gary 
Morof of West Bloomfield.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Spain and 
currently reside in Minneapolis.

ment of their son Sam Dubin 
to Lyle Rothman, son of Varda 
and Steven Rothman of East 
Islip, N.Y. 
Sam earned his bachelor of 
science from Central Michigan 
University. He is the interim 
director of community relations 
at Jewish Federation of Detroit. 
Lyle earned his bachelor 
of arts from Hofstra University, where he majored in 
Judaic studies. He holds an M.A. in Hebrew literature 
from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion 
Cincinnati, Ohio, and an M.A. in rligious education, 
Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. 
Rabbinic ordination is from Hebrew Union College-
Jewish Institute of Religion. Lyle is an associate rabbi at 
the Community Synagogue. 
A July 4, 2024, wedding is planned at the Community 
Synagogue in Port Washington, N.Y. Rabbi Irwin 
Zeplowitz and Cantor Claire Franco will officiate.

r. Paul Schneider of 
Farmington Hills turned 
90 years old on June 
19, 2024. Paul celebrated this 
milestone with his beloved 
wife of 67 years, Phyllis; and 
his children, Marci Klein and 
Janet Schneider; sons-in-law, 
Andy Klein and Andy Kahn; his 
grandchildren, Lucy Kahn and 
Charlie Egesdal, Aaron Kahn, 
Melissa and Jeff Guibord, Erica 
Schneider, Sofia Klein and Julia 
Klein; great-grandchildren, Ella and Zippy Egesdal, and 
Edison and Stevie Guibord. The beloved Steven and 
Mickie Schneider were there in spirit.
