JUST FOR FUN

Yiddish
Word Fun

Each answer starts with the second letter of the previous
answer (Consider No. 4 the previous answer to No. 1)

Three older men, Max, Leon and
Sam, were talking about what
their grandchildren would be
saying about them 50 years from
now.

“I would like my grandchildren
to say, ‘He was successful in
business,’” declared Max.

“Fifty years from now,” said Leon,
“I want them to say he was a
loyal family man.”

Turning to Sam, the first gent
asked, “So what do you want
them to say about you in 50
years?”

“Me?” Sam replied. “I want them
all to say, ‘He certainly looks
good for his age.’”

DOG OF THE WEEK

H

ello! I am Lilo Bear! I am a female, 10-month-old, 9 lb.
Scottish Terrier mix. I would love to be your forever
friend!
I am working on coming out of my shell, but give me a little
time — I can do it! My foster mom is helping me so much. I am
pee-pad trained and sleep the night. I am not sure about toys
yet but sure know about treats.
I am learning how to live in a home with humans and am
building trust. I am also learning to go outside, and that the
backyard is for me to run around in. I don’t like to wander too
far from my foster mom right now. When I hear new sounds, I
might be a little nervous.
I am learning to go in a crate and getting familiar with the
leash and walks. I haven’t met many humans other than my
foster mom yet, but she is going to work with me on greeting
people. How to live in a home is the first step.
I am building confidence every day! I would love to have a
loving, patient and understanding home to give me the love I
need to bring out the best in me.
Please complete an adoption application for me at https://
almosthomeanimals.org. I am based out of West Bloomfield.
