onald Stein, a resi-
dent of Rolling Hills 
Retirement Community 
in Commerce Township, turns 
90 years old June 26, 2024, 
along with his twin brother, 
Melvin, who lives in New Jersey. 
Don will celebrate with his chil-
dren and their spouses, Bob 
(Lynn), Laura (Barry), and Mark 
(Beth), and his grandchildren, 
Rachel, Dana, Zachary, Ashley, 
Bradley, Jason and Jessica, who 
are spread across Michigan and New Jersey.

announce the engagement of 
their daughter Neela Lauren to 
Alexander William, son of Tami 
and William Michalopoulos of 
Great Neck, N.Y. 
Neela earned a B.S. degree in 
fashion business management 
and a minor in economics at the 
Fashion Institute of Technology 
in New York. She works as an 
associate assortment planner at Macy’s Inc. in New York. 
Alex earned a B.S.B.A. degree in accounting and 
finance from the University of Richmond, Robins School of 
Business and an M.S. in real estate from Baruch College-
Zicklin School of Business. He is a CPA and is the VP of 
accounting at Innovo Property Group.
The couple will marry on Sept. 28, 2024, at the 
Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

and Ali; and his significant 
other, Nanci. A great time was 
had by all.

school year, and she loved

Township 
Saturday, June 22, 2024. 
He is the son of Dina and 
Serge Sorser, older broth-
er of Hanna, and grandson 
of Helen and Alex Sorser, 
and Nina and Mark 
Shkolnik.
Noah is a student at 
Detroit Country Day 
Middle School in Beverly 
Hills. For his mitzvah proj-
ect, Noah volunteered 
at Yad Ezra food bank 
in Berkley and Coville 
Assisted Living Facility in 
Oak Park.
