MARILYNN R. 
GORDON, widow 
of Seymour 
“Sease” Gordon, 
died peacefully on 
June 6, 2024, at her 
home. 
Marilynn was born on Sept. 
24, 1930, to Max and Irene 
Pensler in Detroit. She was 
lucky to have a wonderful 
stepfather in the late Harry 
Kraft.
Marilynn attended Central 
High School, then received her 
undergraduate and graduate 
degrees at Wayne University. 
Her biggest passions were her 
Jewishness and her family.
Marilynn is survived by 
her children, Nancy Gordon, 
Richard and Michelle Gordon, 
and Carol and Mark DeVore; 
grandchildren, Rachel and 
Adam Orlansky, Adam and 
Abby Gordon, Zachary and 
Elliana DeVore, David and 
Grace DeVore, and Matthew 
DeVore; great-grandchildren, 
Joey, Edward, Magnolia and 
Talia; beloved brother and 

sister-in-law, Marvin and Sylvia 
Gordon.
She was predeceased by her 
brother, Alvin Pensler; sister, 
Joyce Kraft; brother and sister-
in-law, Hank and Marion 
Gordon.
Interment was at Clover Hill
