AIDA 
MEIZLISH, 82, of 
Beverly Hills, 
Mich., died May 
25, 2024. 
Born, raised 
and educated in Buenos 
Aires, Aida arrived in Detroit 
in 1970 with a medical degree 
but without knowledge 

of the English language. 
She, nevertheless, quickly 
established herself as a trusted 
pediatrician to countless 
families in the Metropolitan 
Detroit area and built a family 
that came to include that 
of her daughter-in-law and 
James Miller Jr. and Christine 
Fecteau. In retirement, 
she discovered a passion 
for teaching Spanish and 
made numerous treasured 
friendships along the way. 
Aida is survived by her son 
and daughter-in-law, Louie 
and Erin Miller Meizlish; 
precious grandchildren, Max 
Meizlish and Joanie Meizlish; 
sister, Berta Sava; brother-
in-law, Leonard Meizlish; 
nieces and nephews, Deborah 
Meizlish and Joshua Botkin, 

Luis Sava and Alma Scolnik, 
Dalia Sava; great-nieces and 
great-nephews, Jonah Botkin, 
Benjamin Botkin, Teo Sava, 
Vera Sava, Lola Vitarella Sava.
She was the beloved wife 
of the late Sheldon Meizlish; 
dear sister-in-law of the late 
Gabriel Sava, the late Naomi 
and the late Karen Meizlish; 
loving aunt of the late Andrea 
Meizlish. The family wishes 
to thank her many beautiful 
friends who helped care for 
her in her final days.

A funeral service was held at 
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

Beth Abraham Cemetery in
