Hills on Saturday, June 8, 
2024. She is the daughter 
of Lori Kaplan and Taal 
Ashmann and sister of 
Ava Ashmann. Lila’s 
grandparents are Lynn 
Feuerman, Alan Kaplan, 
Dina and Sandford 
Ashmann; her 
great-grandmother is 
Rosita Feuerman.
Lila is a student at 
South Hills Middle School 
in Bloomfield Hills. For 
a mitzvah project, she 
collected and donated 
more than 600 books 
to Pasteur Elementary 
School in Detroit.

Jack Levi 
Bershas, son of 
Heather and 
Paul Bershas, 
will be called to 
the Torah as a 
bar mitzvah at Temple 
Israel in West Bloomfield 
on Saturday, June 8, 
2024. He will be joined in 
celebration by his broth-
ers Ryan and Evan. Jack 
is the loving grandchild of 
Sharon and Myles Pianko, 
and Elizabeth and James 
Bershas. 
He is a student at 
Hillel Day School of 
Metropolitan Detroit in 
Farmington Hills. Jack’s 
most meaningful mitzvah 
project was delivering 
Purim mishloach manot 
to the residents of Jewish 
Senior Life at Hechtman 
Apartments.

Gianna 
Fleischer (Pela)

Bloomfield on Friday, 
June 7, 2024. She is the 
daughter of Michael and 
Tiffany Fleischer and sis-
ter of Grant and Griffin 
Fleischer. Proud grand-
parents are Chuck and 
Cheryl Vescoso.
Gianna attends 
Cranbrook School in 
Bloomfield Hills. For a 
mitzvah project, Gigi 
worked as a madricha 
at Shir Shalom, helping 
with a preschool class 
all school year, and she 
loved working with the 
children.

has one sister, Annabelle 
“Annie,” 9. 
Laney’s mitzvah project 
is volunteering with Yad 
Ezra in Berkley.

Madison Haley 
Lash, daughter

will lead the 
congregation in 
prayer as a bat mitzvah at 
Temple Israel in West 
Bloomfield on Friday, 
June 7, 2024. She will be 
joined in celebration by 
her brother Jaden. 
Madison is the loving 
grandchild of Annie and 
the late Jerry Lash, and 
the adoring great-grand-
child of Jerry and the late 
Lenore Gurwin. 
She is a student at 
Berkshire Middle School 
in Beverly Hills. Madison’s 
most meaningful mitzvah 
project was collecting and 
donating gifts for families 
in need during the holi-
days and delivering them 
for Mojo in the Morning’s 
“Breaking & Entering 
Christmas Wish Event.”

Lauren Levitin

Japan, will

mitzvah on 
Saturday, June 8, 2024. 
The remote service will 
be officiated by Rabbi 
Jason Miller. Lauren’s 
proud parents are Rick 
and Nayoon Levitin. Her 
brother is Tanner. Lauren 
is the grandchild of 
Jeffrey and Linda Levitin 
of Hallandale Beach, Fla.,
