Birmingham, 
died May 9, 
2024. 
Lois traveled 
the world, 
pursued challenging jobs 
and met dignitaries and 
movie stars. She lived large: 
She was a citizen of the 
world. A force of nature. A 
straight shooter. She will be 
missed by her family and 
many friends.
She is survived by 
daughters, Lisa Pincus (Kent 
Kleinman), Julie Pincus; 
sister, Claire Carlevaro; 
stepchildren, Leslie Magy, 
Barbara Cohn, Tom Cohn; 
stepgrandchildren, Harrison 
Magy, Ilyse Magy and Justin 
Hall, Daniel and Lauren 
Magy, Bennet Magy, Hannah 
Magy, Jonathan Cohn 
and Jeremy Cohn; three 
stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was the wife of the 
late Max Pincus, the late 
Benjamin Frank and the late 
Honorable Avern Cohn. She 
was the daughter of the late 
Sadie Greenwald Padover 
and the late Albert Padover.
Her memorial service was 
at Ira Kaufman Chapel. For 
those who wish to honor 
Lois’s memory, contributions 
may be made to the Lois 
Cohn Scholarship for 
Fine Arts at the College 
for Creative Studies, 
Alternatives for Girls, or the 
Lois Pincus Cohn Fund at 
the Community Foundation 
for Southeast Michigan.
