HOW TO SUBMIT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mazel Tov! announcements are welcomed for members of the
Jewish community. Anniversaries, engagements and weddings
with a photo (preferably color) can appear at a cost of $18
each. Births are $10. There is no charge for bar/bat mitzvahs
or for special birthdays starting at the 90th.

Liam Gabriel Kurns, son of Gisele and
David Kurns, will lead the congregation in
prayer as a bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
He will be joined in celebration by his sister
Kinsley. Liam is the loving grandchild of
Susan and Antoine AbiRaji, and Brenda and Irwin
Kurns.
He is a student at South Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. Liam’s most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect was volunteering with Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield.

Spencer Bram Levin (Boaz) will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
June 1, 2024, at Temple Beth El in
Bloomfield Township. He will be joined in
celebration by his proud parents, Emily and
Darrin Levin, sister Lindsay and brother
Dylan. He is the grandson of Adrienne and Paul
Shwedel, Carole Levin and the late Larry Levin.
Spencer is a seventh-grader at Derby Middle School
in Birmingham. He enjoyed doing his mitzvah project
with his friend Charlie Feldman as they partnered with
Brilliant Detroit, collecting sports equipment to donate
to kids in communities in Detroit.
