He was the loving neph-
ew of the late A. Alfred 
Taubman.
Interment was at Clover 
Hill Park Cemetery.

PAVLON, 89, of 
Delray Beach, 
Fla., passed away 
on April 12, 2024. 
Gloria was 
born in Detroit to Joseph 

and Grace Mehr in 1934. 
She attended Central High 
School. While raising her 
children, she earned her B.S. 
from Oakland University 
and, later in life, an M.S.W. 
from the University of 
Michigan College of Social 
Work.
Intuition, warmth, charm 
and wit led Gloria to uplift 
others beyond her career 
in social work. She brought 
joy and kindness to those 
around her. Gloria was artis-
tic and loved learning, nature 
and literature. Her gifts were 
goodness and wisdom in 
equal parts and a loving, car-
ing heart. 
She was married to the 
love of her life, her late 
husband, Sanford, for 64 

years. She was also preced-
ed in passing by a beloved 
brother, Seymour. She is 
survived by four children, 
three grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren. 
A private funeral service 
will be held.
