She will be joined in celebration by her sister, Jocelyn. Natalie is the loving grandchild of Ellen and Cary Adelman, and Sofia and Reuven Urman. She is a student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills. Natalie’s most meaningful mitzvah project was volunteering her time at Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield. Emily Anstandig (Liat Ahava), daughter of Alissa and Bryan Anstandig of West Bloomfield will become a bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She will be joined in celebration by her brother Bradley. Proud grandparents are Sarah Brown of West Bloomfield, and Shellie and Michael Anstandig of Farmington Hills. Emily is a student at Walnut Creek Middle School in Walled Lake. Her most meaningful mitzvah project supports her passion for art; she organized an art supply collection drive for the students at Pasteur Elementary School on Detroit. Elle Summer Beznos (Shoshana Dodi) will become a bat mitzvah with a beautiful service performed by Rabbi Joseph Krakoff on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Proud parents are Julie and Sam Beznos. She will be joined in celebration by her siblings, Dylan and Blake. Elle is the loving granddaughter of Barbara and Harold Beznos, and Alan Edelson. She is also the granddaughter of the late Gayle Lasky Edelson and David Lasky. Elle is a seventh-grade student at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills. For her mitzvah project, Elle wrote many beautiful, fun letters welcoming the Israeli campers who will be joining her this summer at Camp Tamarack. In addition, in lieu of any personal gifts, Elle asked that her friends and family donate to Karmanos Cancer Institute for the David Lasky and Gayle Edelson Fund and to Tamarack Camps. Madalyn Anne Kanner, daughter of Adina and Gregg Kanner, will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday, April 13, 2024. She will be joined in celebration by her brother Noah. Madalyn is the loving grandchild of Leslie and Dr. Jeffrey London, and Marcia and Rick Kanner. She is a student at James R. Geisler Middle School in Walled Lake. Madalyn’s most meaningful mitzvah project was volunteering with Almost Home Animal Rescue, where she put together foster folders, organized adoption kits, and arranged collars and dog tags in preparation for dogs to be fostered. Eli Jacob Panza of Birmingham will become a bar mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Participating in the ceremony will be parents Susie and Mark Panza, sister Emily and brother Grady. Proud grandparents are Joy and Michael Gonsiorowski of Bexley, Ohio, and Linda and Raymond Panza of Barrington, Illinois. Eli is a seventh-grade student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. For his mitzvah project, he hosted an event and raised money for Canine Companions, an organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained service dogs at no charge to the recipient.
