APRIL 11 • 2024 | 41 adding that she went out recently to buy a card table to add on for more space. “This is a passion for me; it’s a labor of love,” she says, adding she grew up in a shomer Shabbos home with a vibrant Shabbat table, joined regularly by her parents’ friends. “I expect to have a lively table,” she says, adding that she tries to incorporate something religious and spiritual as well. She seeks to bring energy and excitement to the Shabbat table, she says, and is always glad when guests feel welcome to stick around after the meal to chat and play games. “I‘d say inclusivity and togetherness is really what Shabbos represents, and having Shabbos candles you can see from the table I think is really important.” Wolfson has an open- door policy and loves when people knock on the door, meaning she always keeps an extra seat and place setting at the ready, so an arriving guest feels like they were already expected, she says. Guests are welcome to pop in for board games Saturday during the day, too, she says. “If you let it be known or make them feel like they’re expected, there’s a better chance they’ll be willing to come again and not think twice, and I think that’s really important, to make people feel welcome and at home.” SCAN QR CODE FOR MORE INFO!
