She was a great mother and
cook, famous for her lemon
meringue pie and other
delicious specialties.
Rita was a devoted
mother, sister, sister-
in-law, aunt, daughter,
cousin, grandmother who
was loved by all. Rita was
known for her big smile,
great sense of humor and
charismatic laugh. She
will be deeply missed by
her family, friends and
neighbors.
Mrs. Sklar was preceded
in death by her mother,
Martha Abraham; her
father, Harry Abraham; her
husband, Jack Sklar; her
sisters, Cecile Kerner and
Phillis Sherline; and her
daughter, Iris Lisa Sklar
Hawley. She is survived by
her son, Alan Sklar of San
Diego, Calif.; grandson,
Jake Hawley of Westland,
Mich.; several nieces,
nephews, cousins and many
friends.

OBITUARY
CHARGES

The processing fee for
obituaries is: $125 for up
to 100 words; $1 per word
thereafter. A photo counts as
15 words. There is no charge
for a Holocaust survivor icon.
