CLAYTON
JERRIS, 81, of
West Bloomfield,
died March 18,
2024.
He was
born on May 30, 1942, in
Detroit and spent much of
his childhood in Windsor,
Ontario, where, as he told
his grandchildren, he would
hitch a ride on the back of a
milk truck to get to school.
He had every job you
could ever imagine from
shoe salesman to model
to grocery store security.
He eventually found his
passion working with his
father-in-law, Simon Ash,
selling gear cutting tools at
Ash Gear. He built up Ash
Gear, leaving a legacy for
his son and grandson who
have now taken the helm.
In his free time, he could be
found spending time with
family and friends or fixing
something around the house.
Mr. Jerris is survived by
his beloved wife of 57 years
Rebecca Jerris; son and
daughter-in-law, Bradley
and Roxana Jerris; daughters
and son-in-law, Shayna
Weitz, Annie and Ryan
