MARCH 21 • 2024 | 65 J N DONNA BARNETT, beloved for 93 years, died Feb. 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Detroit to Louis and Viola Weiss; she moved to California as a young child, following the tragic automobile accident death of her father. Not one to have the dust settle under her, Donna married Robert Barnett and graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit after spending a single year each at the University of California Berkeley, UCLA and the University of Michigan. She spent most of her adult life in the Detroit area before settling in Boca Raton, Fla. Donna will be deeply missed for her zest for life, friendship, giving nature and concern for others. Her passions and inspiration live on in her cherished family. Donna is survived by her three sons, Steven Barnett (Stacey), David Barnett, James Barnett (Julie); and her grandchildren Brian, Michael and Amanda. Funeral services were held at Temple Beth El, 333 SW 4th Ave., Boca Raton, FL 33432. Internment took place at Beth El Mausoleum of Boca Raton.
