etro Detroit’s
community of
Conservative
congregations invites everyone
to a lively weekend of Purim
celebrations like no other.
The fun begins at
Southfield’s Congregation
Shaarey Zedek on Saturday
evening, March 23, at 8:45
p.m. with ma’ariv and megillah
reading — including some
amazing surprises. The
evening continues with a
dessert reception and drinks,
and dancing to Jennifer
Christiansen and her lively
band. You may win prizes
for best costume. Plus, if you
register by Wednesday, March
20, you will be entered into a
raffle for great prizes.
The fun resumes on Sunday
morning, March 24, at 8:30
a.m. at West Bloomfield’s
B’nai Israel where everyone
is once again invited to hear
the reading of the megillah

followed by a free breakfast.
And that’s not all! What
is Purim without a fantastic
Purim Carnival?
The Conservative
community presents a
free Family Purim Shpiel
& Carnival on Sunday
morning beginning at 10:30
at Adat Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills. The

carnival will include miniature
motorways, games, prizes,
inflatables, balloon art, face
painting, a Star Trax dance
party and more! Lunch will
be available for purchase. This
promises to be huge fun for all
ages.
Participating synagogues in
the community-wide Purim
Celebration are Adat Shalom,

Beth Ahm, Beth Shalom, B’nai
Israel, B’nai Moshe and Shaarey
Zedek and joined by Kravings,
Star Trax Events and Carnival
Bounce.
Advance reservations
for Sunday breakfast are
required, and your RSVP for
all other festivities are greatly
appreciated and can be made at
jlive.app/events/6507.
