DOG OF THE WEEK

Ollie!

A Letter from

D

ear Readers,
I’m Ollie. I am a very sweet, loving, calm and
obedient dog! I do not chew on anything. I love
going on long walks. And I adore nuzzling my head on
my human’s lap to get petted. I am a bit timid around
male people and I get startled very easily. Maybe I will
relax over time. The only thing wrong with me is I have
heartworm disease. This is usually very successful to
treat. Almost Home is covering all of my vet bills to get
me a negative result. I am so happy they saved me.
Here are some things about me:
• I am very sweet but timid. My foster momma says
shy and timid is a good thing. You see I just need some-
one with patience to help me with my self-confidence.
• Mama says I can be funny, playful and goofy. That’s
also a good thing, I think.
• I love to be petted and I am learning more and more
about love and affection. You see, I lived most of my life
outside and just existed without any purpose. Foster
mama is showing me how wonderful life is with people
and other dogs. I am doing well with cats, too.
• I am a super muttagree. Wow, momma says that’s
good, too. What confidence I’m getting! I look like an
Irish terrier mix. I weigh about 60 pounds.
• I’m UTD with all my shots. I’m potty trained almost
100%. I also walk great on a leash, but I could be a flight
risk because I still own some fear.
• I like to play tag a lot! I don’t have any aggression
and love to get ear rubs.
• I’m very food-motivated, so I would really do well in
training. I think I can be a perfect boy because I’m real
smart, lol.
Please fill out an adoption application for me at www,
almosthomeanimals.org. That would be so awesome.
I have the most beautiful red rough coat that hardly
sheds. I’m still learning how to play with toys, and I love
bully sticks and no-hide bones — yummy.
Well, I’m going to go snuggle now with my foster
momma.

Love,

Ollie (aka Oliver)

XO
