her 96th birthday with 
friends and family. In 
attendance were her friends 
Marsha King, Evelyn Levy, 
Idene and Paul Fink. Her 
grandchildren are Rachel

Loren Shiener, Danielle 
and Shree Kumandan; her 
great-grandchild is Ashwin 
Kumandan; her children are 
Karen and Jerry Shiener, Nikki and John Lieberman, 
and Janet and Jeff Rosen.

Reyna Sloan Schwartzenfeld (Rachel 
Shulamit) of Bloomfield Hills will lead the 
congregation in prayer and chant the Torah 
on her bat mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey 
Zedek in Southfield on Saturday, Feb. 24, 
2024. She is the daughter of proud parents 
Loren and Dr. David Schwartzenfeld. She will be joined 
in the celebration by her brother Hayden. Reyna is the 
loving granddaughter of the late Heather and late Stan 
Kirschner, and Karen and Steven Schwartzenfeld. 
She is a student at South Hills Middle School in 
Bloomfield Hills. Reyna has volunteered weekly for the 
past two years at Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield 
as her mitzvah project.
