West Bloomfield are thrilled 
to announce the engagement 
of their children, Ethel Miriam 
Mogilevsky and Ari Matthew 
Weil. 
Ethel is the granddaughter 
of Aleta and the late Anton 
Yagolkovsky, and Rebecca and 
the late Gamliel Mogilevsky. Ari 
is the grandson of Janet and the late Ralph Weil, Judy 
and the late Robert Hocher, and the late Patricia and the 
late Sanford Eichenhorn.
Ethel received a bachelor of arts in psychology from 
Kalamazoo College and a master of social work from the 
University of Michigan. She has her own clinical practice 
in Dearborn. Ari received a bachelor of arts in psychol-
ogy and a master of science in environment and sus-
tainability, both from the University of Michigan. He is a 
utilities manager for Sun Communities in Southfield. 
An April wedding is planned in Detroit.

celebrated her 90th birthday 
with her family. She received 
a special birthday present: her 
first great-grandson, Remy Otis, 
son of Alyssa and Bradley Otis. 
Celebrating with Elaine were her 
three daughters, Carla McCarney 
(the late Dan McCarney), Nancy 
(Paul Trusty), Bonnie Otis (David 
Otis). Grandchildren, Bradley 
(Alyssa) Otis, Kyle Otis, Camryn 
Otis, Matthew (Jessica) McCarney, 
and Abby McCarney also celebrated with Elaine.

herrie and Norton Stern of 
Bloomfield Hills and Delray 
Beach, Fla., marked their 
60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 
2, 2024. They celebrated with their 
children, Scott and Lisa Stern, Ken 
Stern; grandchildren, Carly, Talia, 
Jonah, Rachael and Ella Stern; and 
extended family at a dinner party 
in San Diego. Upon their return to 
Florida and Michigan, they will con-
tinue to celebrate with friends and 
extended family.

Bryce Harlow Feld, daughter of Jodi and Dr. 
Michael Feld, will be called to the Torah as a 
bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West 
Bloomfield on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024. She will 
be joined in celebration by her brother Brady. 
Bryce is the loving grandchild of Andy and 
Steven Weiss, and Ann and Jeff Feld. 
She is a student at Berkshire Middle School in Beverly 
Hills. Bryce’s most meaningful mitzvah project was 
volunteering at the Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield 
on Sunday mornings.
