officials who played a role in
extracting video footage perti-
nent to the case testified on the
second day.
The prosecution played a
compilation video — from at
least a dozen locations across
the city of Detroit — shown to
provide a timeline of Jackson-
Bolanos’ whereabouts in and
around the time of Woll’s
death.
The footage showed Jackson-
Bolanos fully covered, wearing
blue surgical gloves and a
mask, which the prosecution
argued was the reason no
fingerprints or DNA placed
Jackson-Bolanos at the scene of
the crime.
Elsey testified that FBI
phone mapping data placed
Jackson-Bolanos there as well.
Footage shows Jackson-
Bolanos near the victim’s res-
idence, appearing to tamper

with parked cars, less than half
an hour before motion was
detected in Woll’s living room
at 4:20 a.m.
FBI Special Agent
Bryan Toltzis testi-
fied that cellphone
data showed Jackson-
Bolanos was in the
area of Woll’s home
from 3:50 a.m. to
4:20 a.m. that morn-
ing.
The next time
Jackson-Bolanos is
seen on video, he’s crossing
over the freeway from the
direction of the crime scene,
and at one point starts running
— five minutes after motion
was detected in Woll’s resi-
dence.
While Judge King ruled in
favor of a trial, he raised ques-
tions about the lack of blood
found on Jackson-Bolanos’ jack-

et compared to the amount of
blood found at the crime scene.
Judge King, though,
questioned Brown
on how he could
explain Woll’s DNA
on Jackson-Bolanos’
jacket. Brown made
the argument that
his client is a victim
of circumstance,
at the wrong place
at the wrong time.
Brown argued there
wasn’t enough time
for Jackson-Bolanos to have
committed this murder.
Jackson-Bolanos has served
prison time for stolen proper-
ty/motor vehicle offenses.
While making his decision,
Judge King weighed the prose-
cution’s theory as well as alter-
native theories.
“The defendant could have
presumably stumbled upon

her, and being the thief that
he is, tried to take something
from her and got some blood
on him some kind of way …
that’s a possibility,” King said.
“It’s also a possibility that he
did gain entry into her home
and attacked her … and got
out of there in a hurry.
“Both options are plausible.
It could go either way.”
Jackson-Bolanos was
scheduled to be back in court
for an arraignment on Jan. 30.
Woll served as president of
the Isaac Agree Downtown
Synagogue, a revitalized
congregation in the heart of
Detroit, and helped lead its
fundraising campaign and
2023 grand reopening.
She was heavily involved in
local, state and national poli-
tics, and was a deeply devoted
interfaith and intercommunal
bridge-builder.
