Pioneering a Cancer-Free World

Our vision at the Institute is clear and steadfast: A world free of cancer. This vision

drives every aspect of our work, from patient consultations to groundbreaking

research in our labs. We are dedicated to delivering our patients the best possible

care and the latest treatments. The National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer

Center designation and Karmanos’ commitment to offering easy access to the best

cancer care with 16 locations in Michigan and northern Ohio, including a clinic in

Farmington Hills, are just some of the reasons that drew me here.

Motivated by Purpose and Connection

My focus is on building upon our institution’s legacy of innovative discoveries and

improved treatments. I am here to ensure that the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer

Institute is your preferred choice for cancer screening, prevention, and care. Together,

we will work toward a future where cancer is no longer a fear but a challenge we can

overcome with hope and industry-leading care.

I am grateful for the warm welcome into your community. Here’s to a healthier, brighter

future for us all.

As the new year unfolds, I am filled with humility and excitement to begin my journey as the new CEO and President of

Karmanos Cancer Institute. Being entrusted with this role in such a prestigious institution is an honor I deeply cherish.

My path here as an experienced hematologist, medical oncologist, and researcher is fueled by a personal commitment

to this relentless fight against cancer. Having personally felt the impact of this disease in my own life, my dedication to

giving people more moments extends beyond professional boundaries.
