Mr. Unger earned a 
degree from Michigan State 
University in East Lansing and 
is employed at Google. Ms. 
Rosman earned a degree from Western Washington 
University in Bellingham, Wash., and is employed at 
McLaren Engineering. 
A September wedding is planned at Temple Israel in 
West Bloomfield.

celebrated her 100th 
birthday on Dec. 
25, 2023. Ruth has four 
grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

Nathan Newman (Natan Ari) of Bloomfield 
Hills will become a bar mitzvah at Adat 
Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills on 
Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. He is the son of Amy 
and Max Newman and brother of Elijah 
Appelman and Ravi Appelman. Proud grand-
parents are Diana and Jerry Goodman, and Linda and 
Bill Allee. He is also the grandson of the late Elaine and 
Daniel Newman. 
Nathan is a student at North Hills Middle School in 
Bloomfield Hills He volunteered to rake leaves at the 
home of a person served by Jewish Family Service at 
their annual Fall Fix Up event in November.
