OUR COMMUNITY

A

s we pray for our
brothers and sisters
in Israel in a world
that currently seems filled
with unknown, the impor-
tance of community events
that celebrate unity cannot be
overstated.
Recently, Farber Hebrew
Day School held an event
that captivated the hearts of
our community, the “Joyous
Echoes: A Night of Nachas
Concert featuring NACHAS!”
Together, the community
experienced an evening filled
with enchanting melodies
and harmonious tunes that
resonated with the spirit of
togetherness.
At Berkley High School, the
auditorium was adorned with
vibrant lights that illuminated
the room, creating an inviting
ambiance for the attendees.
The event, organized by a
dedicated group of commu-
nity members, including Josh
Faber, Penina Forta, Shirli
Gotlib and Rachie Lefkowitz,
aimed to provide an oppor-
tunity for everyone to come
together and share in the joy
of music.
The “Joyous Echoes” con-
cert showcased a diverse range
of songs, featuring NACHAS,
a musician from the tri-state
area. The program highlight-
ed various genres of music,
from classic Jewish songs, like

Am Yisrael Chai” to newer
Jewish pop hits, like “Magic
in the Air” and “This is The
Moment,” ensuring there was

something for everyone in the
audience.
The concert’s opening act
featured a children’s choir,
their innocent voices echo-
ing through the hall, filling
it with pure joy as they sang
“Hatikvah.” As the night pro-
gressed, attendees were treat-
ed to a performance by the
musically talented NACHAS,
contributing to the symphony
of happiness that permeated
the air.
What made the “Joyous
Echoes” concert truly special
was the active participation
of community members.
Alongside the professional
musician, the Farber mascot
“Blaze” took to the stage,
dancing with NACHAS and
sharing the love for music
with the audience as well. This
inclusive approach created an
atmosphere of camaraderie,
breaking down barriers and
fostering a sense of unity
within the community.
