especially meaningful to me to
be inducted into the Michigan

part of the Class of 2023,
” Blau

There is a new way to show your sup-
port for Magen David Adom, Israel’s
emergency medical system. The orga-
nization is now selling limited-edition
Magen David Adom-branded Nikes
designed by Baltimore-based Nathanael
Elvis, who
recently part-
nered with the
NFL
’s Baltimore
Ravens to cre-
ate an initial 20
pairs of these
shoes.
The Nike
Air Force
1 sneakers
showcase a
striking design
featuring a red Star of David with a
unique red fade, complemented by
blue panels inspired by Magen David
Adom’s work for Israel. Notably, a star
of life graces the panel near the back
heel. Crafted using leather paint and
a scratch-resistant waterproof sealer,
these shoes embody the organization’s
dedication to aiding those in need.
This stylish footwear offers an easy
way for supporters to let people know
about the organization, which provides
emergency medical care, collects and
supplies blood throughout the country,
and aids in disaster response all over the
world.
“Now, at a time when Israel needs
our support more than ever, we felt that
selling Magen David Adom-branded
sneakers would be a wonderful way
to help our supporters publicize their
belief in our mission,
” said Cathy Reed,
CEO of American Friends of Magen
David Adom. “When you wear these
sneakers, you stand for saving lives and
keeping the people of Israel safe.
”
The shoes cost $500 a pair, $100 of
which will go toward supporting the
lifesaving work of MDA. Allow two
to four weeks for delivery because
order volume is currently very high.
Children’s and infant sizes are also
