Over the course of many days 
of shivah, Rabbi Schnipper’s 
family heard just how many 
people he touched. Countless 
individuals reminisced over the 
rabbi officiating their weddings 
or b’nai mitzvah decades prior, 
while some said they’re a differ-
ent person because of the influ-
ence Rabbi Schnipper had on 
them — and they’re where they 
are today because of him. 
“He influenced so many peo-
ple from so many diverse back-
grounds,
” daughter Andrea said. 
Rabbi A. Irving Schnipper 
is survived by his wife, 
Barbara Schnipper; son and 
daughter-in-law, Danny and 
Iris Schnipper of Fairlawn, 
New Jersey; daughters and 
sons-in-law, Rachelle and 
Nathan Marcus of Chicago, 
and Andrea and Mark 
Tannenbaum of Chicago; 
grandchildren, Efraim and 
Atara Marcus, Uri Marcus, 
Jacob and Alayna Schnipper, 
Arie and Michelle Schnipper, 
Talia and Daniel Lipner, Ranan 
and Shira Tannenbaum, Eitan 
and Batya Tannenbaum, Miri 
Tannenbaum; great-grand-
children, Dani, Shoshana and 
Tehila Marcus, Yaron, Calev, 
Temima and Ella Schnipper, 
Theo Tannenbaum and Ilan 
Tannenbaum.
Rabbi Schnipper was the dear 
son of the late Jacob and Lena 
Schnipper and dear brother of 
the late Hyman Schnipper.
