T

his year, more
than ever, it is
critical to celebrate
Chanukah, and our
Judaism, with added pride
and confidence. As Israel
and the Jewish people
continue to go through a
challenging time, we must
take advantage of the
light, festivity and Jewish
pride that celebrating
Chanukah provides.
Bais Chabad of
West Bloomfield is very
excited to share all sorts of
opportunities for celebration.
“We hope you’ll join us and
encourage your family and
friends to do the same,” said
Rabbi Shneur Silberberg.
On Sunday, Dec. 10, it’s
the annual community
favorite, the Chanukah
Wonderland, which will take
place from noon to 4 p.m.
at Bais Chabad. This year’s
Wonderland is Israel-themed
and will include projects
such as create your own Am
Yisroel Chai Menorah, make
a Jerusalem Mezuzah case,
fry a latke, decorate a donut,
and assemble blankets to
be sent to IDF families in
Israel. Children will enjoy a
performance of the Chanukah
story and work an olive
press to make fresh olive oil.
Tickets are $8.
On Monday, Dec. 11, take
part in a Chanukah Car
Parade of Light and Love,
starting at 4 p.m. at Jewish
Senior Life, West Bloomfield,

followed by a party, at 5 p.m.,
at On the Dunes Sports, 2055
Haggerty Road, Commerce.
Try your hand at fowling,
axe-throwing, dodgeball and
virtual golf while noshing
on latkes, donuts and soup.
Attendees will also enjoy a
children’s performance and
klezmer band.

free program and find
