independence, this exhibit
captures pivotal moments
in Israel’s history, and the
contributions of Jewish
Detroiters throughout. Now
through mid-December,
come explore the panels
that capture over 100 years
of storytelling from the
Detroit Jewish Chronicle
and the Detroit Jewish
News. Curator Mike Smith,
the Alene and Graham
Landau Archivist Chair of
the Detroit Jewish News
Foundation, will explore
more than a century of
reporting on Israel’s state-
hood by the Detroit Jewish
press, highlighting our com-
munity’s historical response
to situations reminiscent of
the current atrocities unfold-
ing in Israel today. Coffee
and dessert will be served.

American-born Israeli per-
former Nissim Black will
bring his uplifting music
and energy to Detroit
for an evening of Jewish
pride, solidarity with Israel
