Karmanos Cancer Institute
Our Mission: To lead in transformative cancer care, research and education
through courage, commitment, and compassion.
What’s New?
In August 2023, Karmanos Cancer Institute welcomed Boris C. Pasche, Ph.D.,
FACP, as its new president and CEO. “I, along with the researchers, scientists,
and clinicians at Karmanos, are dedicated to Karmanos’ vision: A world free of
cancer,” Dr. Pasche said. “We start the day with this in mind, whether seeing
patients, analyzing clinical trial results, or creating potential new treatments in
the lab. You can count on us continually looking for what will give our patients
their best chance at beating this disease.”
When you choose to contribute to Karmanos, you’re aligning with one of the top
comprehensive cancer centers nationwide to make a lasting and meaningful
impact on the fight against cancer. We can’t do any of it without your help.
Lead the fight against cancer. Please consider making a gift to provide our
patients with every possible resource to give them their best chance. Visit www.

COTS
Mission statement:
COTS creates opportunities for families to collaborate, thrive, and succeed in
building strong and stable households, neighborhoods, and communities.
Through partnerships, we are able to assist families in reaching their housing,
economic, health, education and career goals as they overcome homelessness
and break the cycle of poverty for the next generation and beyond.
What’s New?
COTS offers various programs and services to assist more than 1,200 indi-
viduals daily — 60% of whom are children. Our programs include emergency
shelter for families, supportive and affordable housing, children’s services,
mobility coaching, and more. COTS exists to disrupt poverty and is proud to be
the first certified Mobility Mentoring® Practitioner Organization from Economic
Mobility Pathways in Boston, MA. Our Passport To Self-Sufficiency™ program
uses a research-backed, trauma-informed coaching approach to assist families
in establishing and reaching their housing, economic, health, education, and
career goals as they overcome homelessness and break the cycle of poverty
for themselves, the next generation, and beyond.
