youngest of eight children.
Happy childhood memories
were abruptly cut short by the
advent of the Nazi invasion
and subsequent atrocities
of the Holocaust. She and
two siblings were the only
survivors of her large family.
After the war, she met and
married another survivor,
David Krasman, and together
they emigrated to the United
States. Despite their horrific
wartime experiences, they
created a warm, joyful and
balbatish home for their sons,
Manus and Gary, and, later,
for seven grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren,
whom she adored.
Rosa was very health
conscious and walked with
her beloved husband, David,

most days well into her late
80s. She was an avid reader,
an amazing cook and, most
importantly, loved being with
people. She always made the
home welcoming to neighbors,
friends and relatives who
enjoyed her company and
wonderful cooking. She was
active in B’nai B’rith as well as
other Jewish causes.
Mrs. Krasman is survived by
her sons and daughters-in-law,
Manus and Barbara Krasman,
Gary and Shelley Krasman;
grandchildren, Michael (Erin),
Stephen (Karen), Danielle
(Adam), Zachary (Nikolas),
Jamie, Noah and Ethan; great-
grandchildren, Chloe, Reid,
Dean, Josie, Liam, Lake,
Ronen, Norah and Jonah.
She was preceded in death

by her beloved husband,
David Krasman.
A funeral service was
held at Hebrew Memorial
Chapel. Interment took place
at Hebrew Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made
to the Zekelman Holocaust
Center, Jewish Family Service
or a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.
