GOODMAN, 
95, of 
Gainesville, Fla., 
formerly of West 
Bloomfield, died 
Nov. 7, 2023. 
He served in the Korean 
War as a lab tech. Arthur 
graduated from University 
of Toledo and was an 
active pharmacist for 55 
years. He co-owned Bi-Lo 
Pharmacy in Westland for 
20 years, prior to moving 
to Florida. He was a loving 
and devoted husband for 23 
years to the late Dorothy F. 
Kleinstein Goodman. He 
loved playing the violin and 
was an avid swimmer, vora-
cious reader and a world-
wide traveler. 
Mr. Goodman is sur-
vived by his best friend 
and devoted son and 
daughter-in-law, David J. 
Goodman and Dr. Mary 
Hurd; daughter and son-
in-law, Dr. Elizabeth and 
David Elkus; grandchildren, 
Daniel Elkus, Audrey Elkus, 
Rebecca Goodman and 
Aden de Hoyos. 
He was the only child of 
the late Albert and the late 
Dorothy Vera Goodman.
Interment was at Clover 
Hill Park Cemetery.
