MAURICE N. BLAKE, 90, 
died Oct. 21, 2023.
He was the devoted husband 
of Gloria Remer Blake; brother 
of the late Marvin Blake, the 
late Eileen (Blake) Racklin, the 
late Florence (Blake) Pais and 
the late Estelle (Blake) Koloff. 
He was the loving son of the 
late Minnie and Norman Blake. 
He’s survived by many loving 
nieces and nephews.

COLBERT, 57, of 
Livonia, died Oct. 
23, 2023. 
He was an avid 
sports fan, enjoy-
ing all sports and rooting for 
the Detroit teams. He loved 
everything about the ’80s: the 
music, cheesy movies and clas-
sic band T-shirts. He was so 

proud to grow out his Mohawk 
and dyed it fun colors for the 
holidays. 
Ron also enjoyed traveling, 
traveling to Chicago regularly, 
made trips throughout the 
U.S. and traveled abroad to 
Greece, Amsterdam, Mexico 
and Iceland. He even eloped in 
Las Vegas and had a blast on an 
’80s cruise. Ron will be deeply 
missed. 
He is survived by his beloved 
wife, Sheri Colbert; daughter, 
Ashley Colbert; stepchildren, 
Jack and Blake Yates; cherished 
granddaughter, Evelyn; sib-
lings, Steve (Patricia Wilson), 
Tanya (Robert) Overmyer, 
and Scott (Jennifer) Colbert; 
nieces and nephews, Mckenzie, 
Melanie, Ethan, Griffin, Jessica 
and Lillie. He was the devoted 
son-in-law of Carol and Dick 

Walker; adoring brother-in-law 
of Denise Walker and Michelle 
(Dr. Edward) Peres.

HILDA “BUNNY” 
COOPER, (nee 
Winshall), 90, of 
West Bloomfield, 
died Oct. 26, 2023. 
She was born 
on June 28, 1933, 
in Detroit. She attended the 
University of Michigan and 
became a special education 
teacher, a perfect fit for her 
kind and caring nature. She 
played tennis and bridge 
throughout most of her life. 
Bunny was active in politics 

and volunteered as an advocate 
for youth. She was a loving 
mother and grandmother and 
will be greatly missed by her 
family, friends and loving care-
givers.
Ms. Cooper is survived by 
her daughters and sons-in-law, 
Elizabeth and Brian Guz, Eve 
and Bruce Agin, and Joanne 
Cooper; grandchildren, David, 
Lauren, Rachel, Matthew, 
Samantha, Veronica, Naomi; 
great-grandchild, Zachary; sis-
ter-in-law, Susan Winshall. 
She was preceded in death by 
her brother, Arnold Winshall; 
sister, Evelyn Zeman; and 
grandson, Michael Guz. 
Interment was at Clover Hill 
Park Cemetery. Contributions
