with Life Remodeled. This
has included dedicated
volunteerism and generous
philanthropic support to
ensure more Detroiters have
equitable access to educational
youth programs, better job
opportunities and various
health and wellness resources.
As all of you know by now,
I am absolutely convinced
systemic racism against Black
Americans remains one of
the greatest challenges in our
country. I can also say that
throughout history, Jewish
people know what slavery and
the very real and imminent
threats of total annihilation
look like. Our communities
have ties that can bring us
together, rather than divide
us, even those that remind us
of the worst of human history.
Imagine the brighter future we
can build together.
For those who are reading
this and asking, “What
about Palestinians?” I do
pray passionately for the
safety, healing and peace of
Palestinians, and everyone
caught up in this massive
conflict. I can’t possibly write
a letter that encompasses
the full-depth of the deeply
complex history of conflict
in the Middle East, and this
is certainly no attempt to do
so. My prayer is that there be
peace, love and freedom for all
people in Palestine and Israel.
All of us at Life Remodeled
remain committed to continue
building bridges of love across
all barriers and divisions as
we work together for a better
region.
