growing up. She had a love of 
mahjong and having dinner 
with her friends. She also 
loved a good rerun of Law 
and Order SVU, Mash and 
shows on the game show 
network; she would watch 
the Harry Potter movies 
every chance she got. She 
also loved word search 
puzzles, Euchre and so many 
dogs over the years.
Carolyn enjoyed spending 
time talking to her 
granddaughter Amelia every 
day and learning about her 
everyday life. 
Mrs. Maltz is survived by 
her daughters and son-in-
law, Rebecca and Steven, 
and Debra; granddaughter, 
Amelia; cousins and friends. 
She is going on to cross the 
rainbow bridge to meet her 
loving husband, Kenneth; 
her sister, Madeline; her 

parents, Beatrice and David; 
and all the animals she loved 
in her life. She will be greatly 
missed.
Interment was at Adat 
Shalom Memorial Park.

ZEMAN, 96, of 
Bloomfield Hills, 
died Sept. 30, 
2023. 
She is survived 
by her sons and daughters-
in-law, Peter Zeman and 
Beverly Wood, David and 
Lori Zeman, and Ned Zeman 
and Sarah Thornblade; 
grandchildren, Jalen Zeman, 
Benjamin Zeman, Leah 

Zeman, and Lilla Zeman; 
sister, Hilda Cooper; sister-
in-law, Susan Winshall. 
Mrs. Zeman was the 
beloved wife for 56 years 
of the late Miles Zeman; 
the loving sister of the late 
Eugene Dach and the late 
Arnold Winshall. 
Interment was at Clover 
Hill Park Cemetery.
