Presentations are
grouped into several tracks,
including Arts & Culture,

Israel, Jewish Life &
Practice, Our Community,
Social Justice, and Text
& Thought. Attendees do
not have to stick with a
particular track, and many
sessions fit into more than
one. Though registrants

can indicate which sessions
most interest them, this
does not obligate them
to attend any particular
presentation Attendance
at any session is on a
first-come, first-served
basis, and the current
schedule may change, said
Irv Goldfein, president
of the Limmud board of
directors.
Working with Birnholz
and Goldfein on this
year’s event are Marcia

Slabosky of East Lansing;

Arbor.
Many volunteers have
put in hundreds of hours
to make Limmud Michigan
happen, but more are
needed, said Birnholtz, as
are additional sponsors.
“It’s the only way Limmud
can function,” she said.
Anyone wishing to
volunteer or donate can
do so through the website,
https://limmudmichigan.
org.
Registration is also
handled via the website.
The registration fee
includes snacks and a
kosher box lunch. Early
registration, set at $25,
ends Oct. 14. After that,
the fee will be $36. Full-
time students pay $18.
