The Friendship Circle of
Michigan’s 18th annual and
record-breaking Walk4Friendship
fundraiser on Aug. 27 raised more
than $850,000, which will go
directly to their programs that help
individuals with special needs and
families struggling with isolation
and addiction.
The nonprofit raised $100,000
more than its original fundraising
goal of $750,000.
“Witnessing the remarkable
unity of numerous families,
volunteers and advocates was
truly heartening, as we collectively
celebrated our mission and rallied

behind our crucial initiatives,”
said Executive Director Rabbi
Levi Shemtov. “Our sincerest
appreciation goes out to the
committed individual fundraisers,
family and corporate teams, as well
as our esteemed event sponsors.”
The funds garnered from
Walk4Friendship will be channeled
toward enriching its programs,
fostering spaces where individuals
can engage in play, work, health,
growth, learning and creativity
through the Friendship Circle.
