He enjoyed animals and loved 
being out in nature. He also 
adored the family cats.
Ken is survived by his beloved 
wife, Linda Michlin; sister and 
brother-in-law, Joan (Skip Ennis) 
Michlin Ennis, Leslie and Phillip 
Borden; brother and sister-in-law, 
Sholom and Sarah Michlin; nieces 
and nephews, Samantha Ennis, 
Esther Michlin, Matthew (Cheryl 
Aguliar) Borden, Amy (Paul) Jolly 
and Mitchell Borden; mother-
in-law, Lenore Farber; sister-in-
law, Jill Farber-Bramson; many 
other loving family members and 
friends. 
Kenneth was the son of the 
late Florence and the late Arnold 
Michlin; son-in-law of (the late 
Alfred) Farber.

DORIS LUCILLE 
MILLER, 98, of 
Walnut Creek, Calif., 
died peacefully at 
home on Sept. 7, 
2023. 
Born in Detroit, Doris grew 
up in a large extended fami-
ly and a community active in 
Jewish traditions. 
She was a brilliant student 
and started college at 16 years 
old. Doris graduated with a 
major in chemistry from Wayne 
State University, where she met 
Arthur as he was finishing his 
studies in medical school. They 
married, started a family and 
moved to Chicago for Arthur’s 
professional career. 
Doris worked as a medical 
technician until the family grew 
and moved to Highland Park, Ill. 
She was also active in numerous 
school, art and charitable activi-
ties in Highland Park and North 
Shore Chicago.
