Elizabeth Jeanette Fikany, daughter of
Marcy and John Fikany, will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023.
She will be joined in celebration by her
brother David. Elizabeth is the loving
grandchild of Diane Cutler, Mary and Allan Morton, and
the late Jeanette and the late James Fikany. She is the
adoring great-grandchild of the late Helen and the late
Armand Kain, the late Norman Feig, and the late
Kalmayne and the late Morris Morton.
She is a student at Detroit Country Day School in
Beverly Hills. Elizabeth’s most meaningful mitzvah
project was working with Yad Ezra in Berkley,
delivering food to homes and helping with holiday
distribution in the warehouse.

with a photo (preferably color) can appear at a cost of $18
each. Births are $10. There is no charge for bar/bat mitzvahs
or for special birthdays starting at the 90th.

occasion with their immediate
family at a gathering in New
Buffalo, Mich. The Piells are
the parents of Jeffrey and
Hilda Piell of Northbrook, Ill.,
and Stacey and Larry Milen
of Farmington Hills. They are
the grandparents of Sarah
and Zachary Piell of Chicago, Ill., and Harrison Milen of
Farmington Hills.
