birthday on Aug. 12, 2023.
Recognizing her kindness,
resilience and devotion,

Rachel, Michelle, Leah, Emily,
Martin; great-grandchildren
are Daniella, Shay, Elisheva,

anice and Steven Traison
of West Bloomfield are
pleased to announce the
engagement of their daughter
Randi Traison to Michael
Steinberg, son of Janet
and Benjamin Steinberg of
Riverdale, N.Y.
Randi and Michael met
at Binghamton University,
where Randi graduated with
a bachelor of science in
nursing and Michael received
bachelor degrees in English and psychology. Michael
has completed a master’s in clinical psychology
at Columbia Teachers College and is employed in
research at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia. Randi is a
nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, taking
care of children with GI/liver, metabolic and endocrine
disorders.
A December wedding is planned at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek and the couple will reside in
Philadelphia.

engagement of their children
Meredith Kay and Brett
Rubenfire.
Meredith is the director
of operations at Fascination
Factory in Birmingham. Brett
is a senior sales executive
at Thompson Reuters in Ann
Arbor.
Meredith and Brett are passionate about giving
back to our Jewish community. Both are members of
the board of directors of the JCC, steering committee
members for the JCC 2024 Maccabi Games and BBYO
advisers. In addition, Meredith sits on the NEXTGen
board of the Jewish Federation and is a Brilliant Detroit
Ambassador; and Brett sits on the BBYO-Mi Region
Adult Commission.
A Labor Day weekend wedding is planned.

Caleb Frederick Haupt, son of Alyssa and
Jeff Haupt, will be called to the Torah as a
bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023. He
will be joined in celebration by his brother
Jonah. Caleb is the loving grandchild of
Sherry and Howard Berris, Shirley Haupt and the late
Clair Haupt.
He is a student at Oak Valley Middle School in
Commerce Township. Caleb’s most meaningful mitzvah
project was creating a program for Temple Israel’s Early
Childhood Center as a guest speaker, teaching young
students about violins.

HOW TO SUBMIT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mazel Tov! announcements are welcomed for members of the
Jewish community. Anniversaries, engagements and weddings
with a photo (preferably color) can appear at a cost of $18
each. Births are $10. There is no charge for bar/bat mitzvahs
or for special birthdays starting at the 90th.
