Mr. Cohen is survived 
by his loving, devoted 
wife, Lynne; his children, 
Stephen (Lisa), Leslie Cohen 
(Elizabeth); stepson, David 
Kramer and wonderful 
daughter-in-law, Miyoko; 
grandchildren, Kai, Maya, 
Emi, Henry and Anika.

ALLAN JAY 
CUTLER, 91, of 
West Bloomfield, 
passed away on 
June 25, 2023. 
Allan was 
born in Detroit, 
graduated from Wayne State 
University and became a 
highly trusted CPA. He was 
the vice president of Velvet 
Peanut Butter before open-
ing his own CPA firm.
Allan will be remembered 
as a devoted family man 
who was kind and generous 
to all with an extraordi-
nary memory and sense of 
humor. He loved to travel 
the world, was a history buff 
and had a keen interest in 
politics
Mr. Cutler is survived by 
his beloved wife of more 
than 67 years, Lydia; sons, 
Jeffrey (Susan) Cutler, 
Laurence Cutler (Cynthia 
Childs); grandchildren, 
Lauren (Josh) Arkin, 
Shira (Andy) Collings; 
great-grandchildren, Reese 
and Owen Arkin; his broth-
er, Gordon (Iris) Cutler, and 
family. 
He was predeceased by 
his parents, Edward and 
Annette Cutler. 
May he rest in peace and 
may his memory be a bless-

ing to all who knew him.
A memorial service was 
held at Temple Emanu-
El, Birmingham, Ala.

RENEE 
GERGER, 91, of 
Novi, died July 
12, 2023. 
She was a 
beloved mem-
ber of the Fox 
Run community, and the 
family is extremely grateful 
for everything Fox Run did 
for Renee and Jerry over 
the years. She was a life-
long member of the Detroit 
Jewish community.
Mrs. Gerger is survived 
by her sons and daughters-
in-law, Zach Gerger and Pili 
Granda, Stuart Gerger and 
Beth Hammermeister, and 
David and Denise Gerger; 
grandchildren, Aaron 
Gerger, Hector Alvarez 
and Maggie Paez, Rebecca 
Gerger and Alexander 
Shats, Jeremy Gerger, Dessa 
Gerger, Tahlia Gerger, 
Rachel Gerger and Amanda 
Gerger; great-grandchild, 
Adrian Alvarez; sister and 
brother-in-law, Clarice and 
Bruce Simons; many loving 
nieces, nephews, cousins 
and a world of friends. 
She was the beloved 
wife for 70 years of the late 
Gerald Leon Gerger; the 
loving sister of the late Jerry 
and the late Gitty Dater. 
Interment was at Clover 
Hill Park Cemetery.
