ties and makes an impact on
women in the international
community as well as our
local one. This grant cycle was
focused on Israel and Diaspora
Overseas.
A total of $113,000 is being
granted to the following Israel
and Overseas organizations.

Platforma An Activist
Theatre: Training Workshop

the officers to conduct inves-
tigations that conform to the
woman’s emotional state.

Fund of Ukraine, Project
Kesher: Supporting Ukrainian
women’s businesses (95% with
displaced families) so they can
support their families.
IT Works - Single Mother’s

on-ramp for low-income
women to gain higher paying
jobs in the tech sector, leading
to financial independence and
improved outcomes for their
families.

Nevet: Addressing Food
Insecurity by providing break-
fast (sandwiches) every morn-
ing for an entire school year for
234 girls from disadvantaged
areas in Israel’s social and geo-
graphic periphery.
Ethiopian National
Project, ENP Space (School
Performance and
Community Empowerment):

the number of Israeli high
school girls to pass all matricu-
lation exams; improve the level

dropout rates. This includes
individualized plans for the
year, supplementary instruction
for students, parent workshops
and extracurricular activities.

in financial distress to grow
and develop small businesses
providing tools, guidance and

Forgotten Harvest announced
its second round of Agency
Capacity Grants, awarding a
total of $644,528 to 18 partner
agencies that distribute food in
Metro Detroit, including Yad
Ezra, the kosher food pantry in
Berkley.
 The program has granted a
total of $1.25 million in the first
two rounds of grants.
“These grants are a major
part of our commitment to cre-
ating a better food security net-
work by increasing the oppor-

tunities to deliver high-quality,
culturally appropriate food,
” said
Forgotten Harvest CEO Adrian
Lewis. “We value our partners
and the entire food security net-
work. Our community is stron-
ger when we work together.
”
With the grant, Yad Ezra,
which serves people who are
Ukrainian, former Soviets and
Jewish, will expand their vege-
table garden and add fruit trees
to provide culturally specific
fruit and vegetables for their
clients.
